Hmm i read somewhere that renaming the file doesn't always work. But in case it doesn't, you can repack the files using Nokia Firmware Editor.

Yeah, i know

Bt for the supplied cfw renaming the version do work as i made the rofs to be universal for version differences :)

Yeah, use the same core as before :)

And do provide me the reviews after successful flashing :)

Nitesh can you give the link for 5800 RM356 V52.0.101 core files please

If i recover my pc, i wil surely port a cfw for ur phone model :)

Anyways, i will guide u to port this cfw to ur phone model using nfe editor.

Much appreciated.

Found this tutorial online -- http://forum.pnht.pl/showthread.php?114-Tutorial-Flashing-RM-356-firmwares-to-your-RM-428-devices

Will this work? Or should I wait until your NFE instructions?

My phone details - 5800 RM-428 v51.2.007

Will also appreciate if future ports also include RM-428!  :)

Ovi maps is not integrated. You can instal it successfully using sw update

(remember, nt to update music player frm sw update. .this wil replace my mods and wil create bugs)

So If I understand it right - heres what I need to do to get Krystal1.5 on my RM-428 (51.2.007) ..

1. Flash my 5800 with RM-356 52.0.101

2. Flash it again with the Krystal 1.5 ROFS2

Is this right? Am I missing anything?

@dquixote

no its not like that

you have to make a partition to partition copy in simple words follow this if you can and dont flash if you cant keep us updated you will brick your phone by what you are going to do

But before I can install Krystal^1.5 - I do need to flash my phone with the RM-356 ofw right?

Or can I install Krystal directly onto my current RM-428?  :-/

Remember: its not 100% safe. You may or may not brick your phone. . .

If ever you brick your phone, jst flash with original fw files frm navifirm. .u wil revive ur phone

Do the same as sixor suggested. Dont get confused :)

hi nitesh, nice forum, congratulations... As always I'm here to ask you something, please make krystal 2 available for v60, I tried 1,5 but it didn't work for me, well, my phone is not accepting v60 very well, only original core worked on it. And as a plus, install portuguese typing, haha, I'm kidding, but it'd be great, cfw translation sucks... See ya...

Hey, great to see u here :)

And yeah, obviously krystal^2 wil support v60

Btw, if u want krystal^1.5 to work, then jst empty the v60 rofs2 and copy paste the krystal^1.5 rofs2 files to it. . .then repack and flash :)
