josenightbreed Posted February 24, 2013 Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 Hi! I wanted to ask if anyone else is having problems with the launcher, playstore and browser crashing and not working? When the phone boots it says Playstore stopped working followed by the browser and launcher, the stock pantech home works. I peeked in the apps menu and it says that the playstore, browser and launcher have 0.00kb size. I found that kinda weird so i re-flashed thinking that maybe something got screwed up in the processes, after the second flash (following the instructions to the letter under the changes log) the same thing happened again. josenightbreed Posted February 24, 2013 Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 Found a way to overcome my problems After installing the rom V4.0 RC7 5 times and confronting the problems i previously stated i started snooping around CWM (the one that came with the rom) i found in the advanced menu that i could not only mount the partitions but also format them. I searched google for info on any possible side effects on doing this manually and not from a well tested script and i came across this page -REMOVED LINK-. I followed the precedure acorting to them and mounted and formated system, data and cache ( could not wipe battery stats because i didn't find it in the CWM that came with the rom). After that i followed the procedure adviced for the rom in the first post and everything worked perfectly. What i do ? When i start First Time After Upgrade ICS Jelly Bin Launcher not working bt after Upgrade it will Work Smoothly. However it installed in second attempt after system and cache format before installation. Thanks for detailed instructions starting from phone recognition, to rooting, to recovery to installing rom, I faced problems on each step but found all the solutions on "http://forum.gizmolord.com/android-modding/pantech-burst-quick-guides/" page. ^'> So far so good, the rom is really nice and smooth with all AT&T bloatware gone. However since yesterday, my phone hangs every now and then. To enquire, I installed system panel lite apk to monitor CPU usage and I found that my CPU 2 is always in sleep mode even when load on CPU 1 is 100%. Android states "Unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped". And if I try opening them from Contacts->Settings->SIM Card Contacts it says "Cannot show SIM list for loading SIM data".
