Hi, I used the exact same core and rofs2-uda combo but faced the exact same problem inspite of following the standard flashing instructions. When it boots, it by default opens the menu skipping the homescreen. After a bit you can see the use back to return to the homescreen but the homescreen is blank with nothing besides the battery and network signal bars visible. I then tried flashing another 2cfws I had-photon04 and Symbian Anna 7.5 but ended up without anything being shown on the homescreen besides the network and battery indicators. So finally just put the native Nokia software reinstall back to restore it to the ofw after which only I am able to get a homescreen. Can someone please help?

bro i gey component builtin error

and got a solution also

How you got that error? In which app? What was the QT version? Don't use QT repacked by Hegazy as it has issues already. I recommend downloading and installing the latest QT pack...

If you think it's an universal QT issue, do share the solution bro :D

Thanks

Hey, finally when I flashed without a uda, I got the homescreen. however, it does not seem to be the homescreen which you have put up on your screen shots. instead, it is more of a basic c6 ported screen with the standard widgets. I am not sure if that is how it is suppose to be or not. Screen shots attached..

In any case, this CFW is absolutely marvelous - looks great, feels great and best part, it doesn't slow down or lag when I open up some apps for some ebooks - the best one out there for Nokia X6 without a question. Thank you very much to all the devs and modders behind this wonderful release and will surely recommend it to all my friends with a s60v5 device. But will still like to know what the problem was with the homescreen. is there anything IMP on the uda? if yes, what all and how can we get it? Also, if is possible to incorporate any other mod like mara's lights mod into this without causing any problem? Would be very much obliged if you could answer these queries. Hats off to tintinboss and the other modders and devs behind this wonderful and breathtaking release. :)

Bro , I think you got it right.

Tristar2 maybe missed the default HS Widgets arrangement file. So you have to rearrange the widgets too make it look like the screenshot.

Long press HS and press change wallpaper. Set the already provided wallpapers as HStop.

Place the clock and profile widgets one step lower.

Add and place the music widget in the area defined for it :)

Should look good.

Thanks a lot mate for the complement that you gave :) Thats what inspires us to do something.

-- You don't need to add any fix's as appropriate fixes are already inbuilt... Again, if you want, you can add as many mods and tryout whats the best combination for you.

-- There's one important mod inside the UDA. That adds 5 more equalizer presets to the music player. Don't worry, I'll provide you a fix to obtain that :)

Thanks again bro.

Oh ok. Cool. Thanks. So I guess the problem is solved. Not a problem. Anything regarding the contents of the uda and the compatibility with mara's light mod-really like that one..

did u try doing a hard reset ?? it could be due to some other issue, meaning some old files still left over.

Yup, always do a hard reset before flashing any cfw.. I have no idea what the problem was, but seems to be solved by not using the uda and using a blank uda/the uda provided with the core files. as per tintinboss, it is only the 5 additional equalizer settings - I got the sis file for that. So am extremly happy. I was confused that the widget on the homescreen with the time-profile and the applciations was a new larger one-so had that concern which is now cleared.

Alright guys, those using the x6 v40 core, dont use the uda, just flash using the core & rofs, and make sure u select the factory reset option as well. After u flash check and see if any of the problems u had are gone. Also make sure the folder from ur E: such as /private, /sys, /system & /resource are completed deleted before flashing. Please try this and report any issue.

This is what you missed out :D (Those not using the UDA)

Download and install on C:/

Reboot

You're done. Now you have 5 more equalizer presets!
