Edios Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 This is an ultimate tutorial by ramrocky, edited by me in a more simpler way! This is almost a perfect (Perfect ) way to avoid the buggy avkon method!! If u want to use Belle Topbar without the avkon method, then here is an easy solution for you, as avkon method is not perfect and it makes tabs invisible, you can also use this in combination with avkon! Download the theme you want to edit and open it in SISContents Click on contents Then click on 'theme package.mif'. In that window, click on add image and select the black.svg(Rename it to .svg). It will be added to mif(it will be the last icon) and click close. [img width=545 height=420] Now click on "theme package.skn", navigate to the resource tab and in the search box - search the following entries listed below: -Battery strength -Battery strength landscape -Battery icon -Signal strength -Landscape signal strength If u cannot find them, click on add resource and add those entries. Click on each entry> right click>edit>chose image from list>and select the last entry from the dropdown menu(as its the blank svg). [img width=770 height=347] You have successfully hid the battery signal and signal icons and battery icon. Now we need to hide the texts appearing on top and the various indicators signals(missed call, message). Know it: We cant delete them, all we can do is to change their colours so that they merge with background and become invisible! So, now, go to theme package.skn again! Then go to colours tab and select the entries listed below and change their colour to the background colour of the theme (in my case the background is black so i changed listed values to black). -Title text -Title text in idle -Landscape area title text -Landscape area title text in idle -Status indicators -Universal indicators -Signal/packet data indications(appears twice in my theme) -Status indicator icons Click save and close it. Voila! You have the perfect alternative to the avkon. I've attached a DI theme with the process done above. Use it if you like. Quote
