surya467 Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 First of all this is not my work, i was not able to the team with this. biktor_gj over at XDA along with ULTRASHOT managed this. * UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER = NO NCS = YES CUSTOM ROM * LOCKED BOOTLOADER = YES NCS = NO CUSTOM ROM For Lumia 710 users, u can downgrade the bootloader if u have a locked one, to enable Qualcomm , so u can interop your device. Note that 710 users still do not have a full unlock. Will put the process for interop with Qualcomm later, because the tuto is a but complicated to do in windows. If u want to perform interop on linux it will b easier. Replies to this post will help me write more for this post. For lumia 710 you can come back to DLOAD in case you want to flash with NCS again: Here are the exact steps I used to recover the Nokia DLOAD bootloader after unlock: 1) Download _http_://nds2.fds-fire.nokia.com/p/d/fds_fire/1203/2211/7000248136/RM803_12w07_prod_generic_updated_nokia_osbl.esco 2) Rename the file to RM803_12w07_prod_generic_updated_nokia_osbl.zip and open it. It should contain two files, one will be named nokia_osbl.mbn. Extract that one. 3) Connect the Nokia 710 phone in the Qualcomm bootloader mode to the computer (ie. boot it with holding the volume up key) and wait till it shows as a disk. 4) Open HxD as administrator and select Extras -> Open disk. Find the Removable disk that matches the connected Nokia device. Don't forget to uncheck the "read-only" mode! The partition with the boot loader should start at sector 1001, you can navigate to it using the toolbar at the top. 5) Verify that it starts with the bytes 0B 00. 6) Open nokia_osbl.mdn in HxD and copy the whole file over to the disk starting at the sector 1001. Save it. 7) Unplug the device and reboot it. Now it should be flashable with NCS again. Disclaimer: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU LOOSE DATA, BREAK YOUR PHONE, OR SET YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. BTW, REQUIRES A HARD RESET SO YOU WILL LOOSE ALL THE DATA IN YOUR PHONE BY FLASHING THIS. IF UNSURE, DON'T DO IT. Use at your own risk. Be careful, people are reporting problems with this rom. INSTRUCTIONS: Requires an unlocked bootloader (a.k.a. qualcomm development bootloader). Easy to check: Turn the phone OFF, then press and hold VOLUME UP + POWER until you notice a short vibration. Plug in to the computer. If the phone turns up in disk mode (USB Mass Storage Device), then you have an unlocked bootloader. IF you're in Windows, it will ask if you want to format the disk. SAY NO OR IT WILL EXPLODE (it won't explode but you might break it) If the device detected by the computer is Nokia DLOAD you have a locked bootloader and you're out of luck, at least for now. For anything else u can PM me! If you'll want to hit thanks, u can hit one for me or head here and thank them directly. enjoy! Quote

surya467 Posted April 16, 2012 Author Report Posted April 16, 2012 Interop unlock is a term that refers to the ability to deploy applications using the interop capability on devices updated on Mango or above. Prior to Mango, applications using interop drivers, such as registry editors, could be deployed if the device was unlocked. In the Mango update, however, Microsoft chose to block the capability, preventing the deployment of these applications. The installation process is pretty complicated and, until someone can port the process to Windows, requires users to be in Linux. Quote
