NikShiP Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Now, there are very lot of "fake" overclocks. Here's a simple program, that tests the CPU, and is independent from free RAM, SDCard speed... Here. It tests the CPU by calculating the 2^1000000. Just start, your phone will automatically get locked, and, after ~50 secs you'll see your results for 3 seconds, then the program will close. Normal result for 5800 OFW is 4.9***, 5800 N97 is 5.1*** and for C5-03 is 3.6*** See the difference? Now we can test all "overclock" mods. The program is signed.777_.sis Quote
KBM Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Does lower no. means less speed??? Quote
NikShiP Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 Does lower no. means less speed??? Yuppsss... Quote
NikShiP Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 Testing results of this program for vova's mod... c5-03: 600 MHz and 3.6 seconds Nokia 5800 C6 FW: 434 MHz and 5.1 seconds Now, let's make some calculation and look at percentage: C5-03 CPU runs 30% percents faster than 5800, and the result is 30 percents better. But, our CPU is downclocked by Nokia, it's real speed is 528 MHz... Let's think that vova's mod overclocks it to 528 MHz Nokia C6 Vova's: 528 MHz and 6.2 seconds Nokia C6 : 434 MHz and 5.1 seconds Again: With Vova's mod our CPU runs 20% faster than without and result is also 20% better. Maybe vova's mod runs our CPU at 528 MHz? We need more results to prove it, and maybe, better software. Quote
KBM Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Yuppsss... then despite of 600mhz processor why c5-03 shows less no.??? Quote
NikShiP Posted September 14, 2011 Author Report Posted September 14, 2011 then despite of 600mhz processor why c5-03 shows less no.??? Due to its firmware... Quote
KBM Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Due to its firmware... Another fail of nokia... overclocked but didnt programmed f/w for it... Quote

KBM Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 In pnht some one claims evens he posted files of hacked c5-03 cfw... cnt we use his method to create a cfw for nokia c5-03 with utilisation of it's full potential??? Quote
Die2mrw007 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Awesome Awesome Awesome mate.....this is just awesome. I was looking for an app which calculates the CPU in real terms. Quote
Die2mrw007 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Whatz the C5-03 ROM size ? If its less than our ROM size, we could think about something Quote

Die2mrw007 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Nikship,....how to use this app ? Its not working for me.. When activated, it automatically activates the keyguard and lock the screen EDIT: sorry, its working....I didnt read the descriptions carefully Result: 9.3096 Using Krystal^1 N97v30 cfw currently I didnt get though, is the output value in seconds ? Greater the seconds, lower the CPU speed ? Is it so ? So, I think the cfw is slow then....I will test with OFW now, lets see what it shows Quote
KBM Posted September 14, 2011 Report Posted September 14, 2011 Result: 5.0633 Using krystal^1 c60v40... is n97v30 faster than c6v40??? Quote

Not really....the Krystal^1 C6v40 was not optimized to the level I did for Krystal^1 N97v30 I optimized a lot and did more tweaks with Krystal^1 N97v30 to attain greater speed and stability And I wish I could do much better with Krystal^2 So, the result value should be less or more ? This is the value we are talking about in this thread. Note: After the 3 seconds, the time will disappear and the app will exit so you might miss it. Quote

Is it the time consumed to perform a particular task by CPU ? So, greater the time means slower is the CPU performance ? Whatz the concept exactly ? Quote
