Guest prayaas1998
Some Japanese companies have been using S^2, right?
Guest prayaas1998
Another thing, is Symbian OS different from S60? This Wikipedia is really confusing me. It says Symbian^1 was the first release combining Symbian OS and S60v5. So our devices are not S^1? Is S60v5 also different from S^1? Maybe 5800, 5530, 52xx phones are S60v5 and N97, C6 are S^1. Anindya1989
Another thing, is Symbian OS different from S60? This Wikipedia is really confusing me. Yes Symbian OS and S60 are two different things. Symbian 9.4 is the name of the actual operating system whereas S60 is the name of the UI layer on top of the OS. Symbian 9.4 is the last version of Symbian^1. Then they switched over to Symbian^3 which are named as Anna, Belle etc. I dont know if there are version numbers corresponding to Anna and Belle. And S60v5 is the fifth version of the S60 interface.
