IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please do note that installing or trying out these Custom Roms may damage or brick your Samsung Galaxy Y. I strongly advice that before you try out these custom roms, you MUST BACKUP your data first.

And, you also need your phone to be rooted. For instructions on how to root your Samsung Galaxy Y see -> Universal Gingerbread Root & Unroot 2.3.3 -> 2.3.7+ for galaxy y(GT-XXXX) phones

Instructions for installling any custom rom on Galaxy Y:

Before we start customizing your Samsung Galaxy Y S5360, there are things you need to do first and files you needed to download.

WARNING: Before you begin, let me remind you that I will not be liable for any damage or data loss due to this process. Please BACKUP your phone before trying . TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

How to install any Custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy Y (Young) GT-S5360:

NOTE:  For 14 status toggle bar in creed's rom,  see the changelog of creed's rom below and then follow the instructions for flashing with your custom rom

1) Download your custom rom and put its zip directly in memory card

2) Download CWM by Skin1980 and put directly in memory card

3) Turn Off phone

4) Boot in Recovery by pressing (Volume Up + Home + Power) together

5) Select Wipe Data

6) Apply Update from SDcard

7) Select CWM by skin1980 (Its name was strange)

8) You will go into CWM recovery

9) Select Install zip from SDcard

10) Then select Choose Zip from SDcard

11) Click on your custom rom .zip filename

12) It will install

13) Go back using power button and click Reboot System

14) First boot will take time but wait.

15) Enjoy!

How to Install 14 Status Bar Toggle in Creeds rom v2.5 :

1.Download part1 AND part2 of v2.1 of Creeds rom(Download section).  EXTRACT THE FILES THERE WILL BE TWO FILES ONE NAMED “Creed_Update_v2.1.zip” and other named “Go_Launcher_2.82beta1.apk”(BOUNS)

2.Copy the ”Creed_Update_v2.1.zip” directly to sdcard and the second file where ever you want

3.Now follow the tutorial for installing custom Creed's rom v2.5 .

4.Then Use for a little time.

3.Reboot into the Normal(Android- Not the CWM) recovery.

4.Select "Install Zip From Sdcard' .

5.Install the Creed_Update_v2.1.zip.

Note: Although the mod is working very fine but after Data Wipe it can be buggy. So after every Data Wipe(Factory Reset) Reinstall Rom.

Boot into Recovery using 3 button combo

wipe data/factory reset

wipe cache partition

apply update from sdcard

Select GT-S5360 CWM.zip from SDcard and install it (which is attached at this post)

Now you are in CWM Recovery

Install HYBRID ROM from SDCARD

Reboot

Hi I hope you see this reply soon, am in real trouble. I was trying to set up the Windows 8 ROM on my Galaxy Y phone, there was a tutorial in another website. it seems that I messed it all up, and now my phone is damaged, it doesn't even accept the ROMs in this tutorial here. when ever I turn it on, it boots up, the windows 8 boot screen shows up and then it turns black and then it reboot again in the same process, it never launch :S the first time I did it, it launched successfully, but there was so many error messages, I got the same android regular home screen, nothing changed but the booting screen. but later this damage happened. and now my phone is stuck like that :S I tried to do this tutorial you have here with one of the ROMs given, but it never works, the damage is still there, and my phone isn't able to make it further beyond the windows 8 boot screen. :S please help. please please please. what can I do??? is there anyway that I can get it back to android system? or even to make this windows 8 work??? I desperately need your help.
