lamerfall Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 Challenge - Omnia Homescreen without the RED BUG This is something I am asking about from long time,, without any support from other members. It needs some polishing, but I proved that it is possible. Soon I will publish video showcase of my work! The following is explanation why I am doing things that way ? I know that a lot of members don't like my work and especially don't like that I'm begging for karma... Also there a lot of people who use my work without giving me credits or karma and I am really angry for "stealing" my hard work that way... And for people, that have never created something useful, but only collect the great work from good modders and publish it in their topics with direct download links and without mentioning the author or including the link to his topics - shame of you. A lot of excellent modders and developers don't want to share their masterpiece work just because people like you, so think about it. Finally - this is challenge to the people, that keep saying me that I don't know anything about symbian, modding and so on. I have never called myself a "great modder" or something like this, all that I want is a little more respect, giving me proper credit (OMG, it is just one line of text), and hitting the thanks button. This is a challenge between me and them. If you are so good, as you write - then I give you time to do this by yourself and prove that I am a newbie, who don't knows anything and keeps to lie people for everything, and keeps to beg for karmas and so on... @gizmolord people - the above is not targeted to members in your forum. I just post it here too, because I expect my post to be deleted from other forums. Actually I feel very good here and I have the feeling that people here appreciate my work properly and respect my efforts. NO RED BUG IN FLASH LITE HOMESCREEN THEME BY LAMERFALL This is my fix for the RED bug in Flash homescreen themes. This is compatible with all gadget.swf variants and with all "Flash Live/Omnia HS" distros, that I know. How to use: I. Recommended way (requires re-flash) Add contents of ROFS folder to your ROFS3 or ROFS2 or ROFS1 II. Alternative way (no flash required) Copy contents of alternative folder to C or E or F... (Contents of C folder always must be in C:) Notes: 1. This will work fine if you run ailaunch.exe (instead of z:\sys\bin\ailaunch.exe) in your starters. 2. Otherwise after every reboot: - you need to kill your homescreen manually - or you need to change HS theme to basic and then back to Flash again - or you need to use my FHSManager to load gadgets (even the currently used one) Tested and working fine on RM-356 v60 by lamerfall in 2012 Don't hesitate to visit dailymobile.se or gizmolord.com and give me thanks To make things more clear - this fix is not targeted only to Omnia gadget.swf and it improves the work of all kinds of Flash desktop themes. It improves the way that Homescreen uses flash content. Summary: Compatible with all flash desktop themesRemoves the red bug in Omnia and other large gadgets (or gadgets that load many files)Allows developers to create bigger and more complex gadgets (>3 mb)For gadgets that load external widgets in swf format, it allows to load more swf files than beforeFor gadgets that load external images, it allows to use more images (or higher quality images)9232_.zip Quote

tintinboss Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 Mate! How can anyone say that! I mean, as far as I've seen, you're such a good modder with so many original works! I can't believe! So is this a ongoing project or a finished one? Quote
LRajesh555 Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 bro u r a very good modder and u'll b never dissappointed in this forum btw, i never used the omnia homescreen ...so want to ask that what is the red bug in omnia hs ? Quote
lamerfall Posted March 27, 2012 Author Report Posted March 27, 2012 @tintinboss Almost finished as you can see it works without the bug. @lrajesh555 When you use several large widgets, they become red. For example you can't have Radio, Mp3 player and calendar started together. That's one of the reasons, that TouchWiz is not so popular gadget.swf Quote
lamerfall Posted March 27, 2012 Author Report Posted March 27, 2012 Attached better demo on the second post. Quote

lamerfall Posted April 6, 2012 Author Report Posted April 6, 2012 Released! It is tested only on RM-356, but should work fine on similar phones too. If you face some problems, report them here. Quote
