SymRDP 1.00 - Almost everything you can do with your computer.

SymRDP - first and so far the only one available, native Remote Desktop client for Symbian OS S60 5th phones! Full access to your home or office computers from anywhere on a touchscreen of your phone... :D

SymRDP 1.00 for S60 5th edition. SymRDP Remote Desktop Protocol is a technology that allows you to use your S60 phone and connect to a remote computer in a different location. For example, you can connect to your work computer from your S60 phone and have access to all of your programs, files, and network resources as though you were in front of your computer at work. You can leave programs running at work and then, when you get home, you can see your work computer's desktop displayed on your S60 phone, with the same programs running.

SymRDP allows you to get full advantage of having a touch-screen on your phone during an RDP session with your remote computer through the following services:

it naturally allows you to use a stylus (or even a finger) as a PC mouse;

it gives you convenient access to any part of your PC screen via habitual PC-like scrolling;

it provides a virtual touch-screen-based standard 84-keys PC keyboard for symbol input;

if your phone has a physical keyboard it adjusts it to become a PC keyboard as much as possible;

What do you need to do? Just go ahead and enjoy the power of remote access to anywhere from your pocket.

And one more thing... If you had any previous experience with something like VNC-based Remote Desktop applications for a phone (which, in general, are very good for phones without a touch-screen), please, forget it from now - it will not be useful for your touch-screen phone with SymRDP, but it can catch you in a cage of old-fashion stereotypes (like "moving cursor on the screen", and so on) that have no room in the real touch-screen world any more...
