prayaas.aggarwal Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 Are you using a DVD as the installation media? Quote
hackersnight99 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 while installing windows 7,"cd/dvd drive device missing" error is cpming how to solve Go to your BIOS Setting, Boot Menu there you will find, something like boot sequence, look the sequence, click enter and re-arrange it in order of like, (if you are installing it by DVD/CD)then put da DVD sequence on top aur if ur are booting it with Pendrive then put external media, one more thing if you are using PD then there should be 1 more option of hard disk booting , edit it and put your pendrive as an first option..but be careful after installation of OS in c drive or whatever ur using, go again to BIOS setting and reset every customization you have made.... Pardon me if i have not made me myself clear!!! as i'm new to forum.. Quote
prayaas.aggarwal Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 This is not the problem, hackersknight. This problem arises when the boot image (boot.wim) is not prepared for a USB drive, and is meant for a DVD drive, but is used in USB for installing, and Vice versa. Quote

prayaas.aggarwal Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 No. It WILL work if you: 1) Have an ISO 2) Have 4 GB space. No need for 5 GB. Quote

No need for 5 GB. 4GB Pendrive or any other doesn't gives you exactly the same calculated space they lack some MB's space which play's a crucial role while making an Bootable PD. Quote
