Idea Blade [Rooting,Making Backup and Installing Custom ROM]

Note:-Ur Phone must be Connected to Internet.U must have a Good 3G or Edge Connection :P !

Always Backup First

Rooting Your Phone:-

-Install Z4root

-Download and install superuser from the market

Installing ROM Manager and ClockworkMod Recovery

-Open Market app, search for "rom manager"

-Install latest version of Clockworkmod rom manager app

-Once installed, go to app draw and open Rom Manger

-When installing ROM manager, the SuperUser app will ask permission to proceed with install.

-Check remember and then hit the allow button

-Once installed, open ROM Manager

-Press "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery"'

-Rom manager will then flash your NC with the CWR image

-Once complete you will see the following: "Successfully flashed..."

Performing a Nandroid backup (full system backup)

-Make sure you have an install SD card and you have enough free space available on the SD card.

-Open ROM manager and hit reboot to recovery.

-A pop up will ask if you want to reboot into recovery, press OK.

-Your will reboot and boot into ClockworkMod Recovery.

-Once in CWR,use volume up and down buttons to scroll up and down the menu list.Power button works as "go back"

-Scroll down to "backup and restore"

-Press "unknown" button to enter or go to nex sub-menu (really I dont now which is Select key :P )

-Press "backup" to start the nandroid backup process

-The backup will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on how much information is being backed up.I

-Once complete, you will be brought back to the main menu and it will read "Backup complete!"

-Now scroll up or down to "reboot system now" and press "unknown" to execute.

-Once booted and back to Home screen, open your favorite file browser

-Make you way to your SD card: folder /clockworkmod/backup/(date of backup)

-Check to see if you have files files: boot image, cache image, date image, nandroid check file, and system image.

Note:- If u find any of theses Files missing After Backup Do a backup again.Usually you will also see a recovery.img (image) file, which is the file that holds the backup for the recovery utility itself. You will see this files with most custom ROM packages.

Now that you install CWR and performed a full system backup, you are, for the most part , safe and free to explore and experience more rewarding (sometimes risky) Android themes, kernels, tweaks and custom ROMs.

Steps Must be Done Before Flashing Any Custom ROM or Custom Kernel!

-Once in CWR, use volume up and down buttons to scroll up and down the menu list

-Scroll down to "wipe cache partition"

-Press "unknown" button to enter or go to next sub-menu

-Scroll down to "yes - wipe cache"

-Press "unknown" button to execute

-Once complete, you will be back to main menu

-Scroll down to "advanced"

-Press "unknown" button to enter

-Scroll down to "Wipe Dalvik cache"

-Press "unknown" to go to next sub-menu

-Scroll down to "yes - wipe dalvik cache"

-Press "unknown" to execute

-Once complete, press power button to go back to main menu.

Full System Restore from Backup Using ClockworkMod Recovery

-First make sure you have at least a half changed battery

-Open ROM manager and press "Reboot to recovery"

-Follow:- Steps Must be Done Before Flashing Any Custom ROM or Custom Kernel

-Scroll down to "backup and restore"

-Press "unknown" to go to next sub-menu

-Scroll down to "restore"

-Press "unknown" to go to next sub-menu

-Scroll to the backup image (by date) you wish to flash (install/restore)

-Press "unknown" to execute (pick image)

-Scroll down to "yes - Restore"

-Press "unknown" to execute

-wait till it finishes it takes really loooooong

Now u r ready to flash Anything,Remember these Steps r must Bfore flashing Anything

Note:- Always Put kernels etc in Root on directly into ur SDcard so itz easy to locate During Installing From SD

A Good ROM 2.3.5

Moldovan Mile-High-Mountain-Pie RLS9

Must Patch with these kernel's

1st this one:-

-M-MHMP-RLS9-Undervolt-Kernel-Gen2.zip

Then this:-

-M-MHMP-RLS9-Swedish-Stock-Kernel-Gen2.zip

Instructions on Installing Custom ROms/kernel's ETC:-

-First Follow Steps Must be Done Before Flashing Any Custom ROM or Custom Kernel! in the above post,No matter whatever u install via Zip u must do it first!

-Scroll down to "install zip from sdcard"

-Press "unknown" to go to next sub-menu

-Scroll down to "choose zip from sdcard"

-Press "unknown" to go to next sub-menu

-Scroll to the kenral zip file you wish to flash (install)

-Press "unknown" to execute (pick file)

-Scroll down to "yes - Install (file name).zip"

-Press "unknown" to execute, flash new kernel/rom/etc

U will find "unknown" used in various places,itz boz I dont know Which is the Select Key :P bcoz I dont own a Blade SO It will be Helpful if someone share's it.

Incase ur Installed Custom-Rom Doesnt work well u can boot into CWR u must press Home+Volume up+Power

Note:- I am not Responsible for anything tht Happen to ur Device This has been tried and is Successful on Many IDea Blade's.Only flash When U have a Perfect Backup
