nir9099 Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 Please help.. i want to port metro8 cfw of nokia 5800 to nokia 5233, i tried by renaming "rofs2.v01" of 5800 cfw to "rofs2.v21" an flashed my 5233, flashing done but handset not bootup. What you can do is,look at http://forum.gizmolord.com/custom-firmware-discussions/ultimate-tutorial-to-create-your-own-custom-firmware-(cfw)-(by-lrajesh555)/ , and note down which files can possibly be modded in a cfw which are independent of the phone model (5233, 5800 , etc..) . Then copy all those files from 5800 cfw rofs2 to your 5233 rofs2. Then flash the new rofs2 and see. You should be getting 70-90% of the features of the rom atleast in this way.
